Ing. Dr Wisdom Opare is a Senior Lecturer and an Assessor at the Electrical and Electronic Engineering Department and Jubilee Technical Training Centre (JTTC), respectively. He is currently the Head of Department at the Electrical and Electronic Engineering department and also the Lead Trainer for Industrial Instrumentation at the Jubilee Technical Training Centre (JTTC), TTU, and a good-standing member of the Ghana Institute of Engineers (Ghie). Teaching and doing research in an environment where good communication skills and knowledge of Engineering can be used proactively to maximise profitability. Promote high cooperation with industry and applied technology to solve technological problems in industry. Exploring new research areas to increase understanding in the engineering industries is his focus.
He holds a PhD in Power Engineering and Engineering Thermophysics from Jiangsu University, Zhenjiang, China; an MTech in Electrical Technology from the University of Education (UEW); a BSc in Electrical/Electronics Engineering from the Kwame Nkrumah (KNUST) University of Science and Technology; and an HND in Electrical/Electronics Engineering from Takoradi Technical University. With his exposure to both academic and industrial skills, Dr Opare has trained learners for both international and local content for the Oil and Gas sector and other industrially tailored areas, commissioning of industrial plants, calibration of industrial instruments, and preparing and maintaining equipment for industries.
