Engr. Dr. Bernard Kwame Mussey

Process Lead Trainer/Assessor

Engr. Dr. Bernard Kwame Mussey is a Lecturer in Mechanical Engineering at Takoradi Technical University, Ghana, with a strong background in vocational training, safety, and process/production systems. He combines over 20 years of academic and industry-linked experience with internationally recognised qualifications as a trainer and assessor.

He holds a PhD and MPhil in Materials Science and Engineering from the University of Ghana, a BSc in Engineering Physics from the University of Cape Coast, and an HND in Mechanical Engineering from Takoradi Technical University. In addition, he is certified with:

  • Level III Award in Assessing Competence in Work Environment (A1 Assessor, EAL, UK)
  • NEBOSH International General Certificate, UK
  • NEBOSH Award in Health and Safety at Work, UK
  • QCF Level II Diploma in Performing Process Operations in Replicated Environments (PAAVQSET, UK)
  • Chartered Institute of Environmental Health Level 3 Award, UK
  • Specialist training in process control, steam systems, CNC, and pneumatic systems.

At TTU and the Jubilee Technical Training Centre (JTTC), he has served as Lead Trainer in Process/Production, developing and delivering hands-on vocational training for students and industry professionals in oil and gas, safety, and industrial operations. His training programmes have attracted multinational partnerships and contributed significantly to the university’s resource mobilisation.
