Dr Helena Mary Boakye is an accomplished educator and safety expert. She currently serves as Lead Trainer and Assessor in the Health and Safety Section of the Centre of Excellence for Petroleum Studies and is a Senior Lecturer in the Procurement and Supply Department at Takoradi Technical University (TTU). She also lectures with the Chartered Institute of Logistics and Transport (CILT-Ghana). In these roles, Dr Boakye is known for guiding professionals in occupational health and safety and in procurement, logistics and supply chain disciplines. Her leadership and mentorship have helped many advance their careers in health and safety, and she remains committed to supporting newcomers to the field.

• PhD in Management Sciences (Business Administration – Supply Chain Management), Durban University of Technology (DUT).  
• Chartered Member, Chartered Institute of Logistics and Transport (CILT)(Ghana)
• NEBOSH Qualification in Occupational Safety & Health (UK) – a prestigious international safety and health qualification.
• Executive Qualification in Health & Safety Management, Institute of Professional and Executive Development (UK).
• First Aid at Work Qualification, St John Ambulance (Ghana).

These degree and certifications underscore Dr. Boakye’s strong foundation in management, logistics, and occupational health and safety. In particular, her DUT PhD provides a research grounding in innovative logistics and supply chain challenges in Ghana.

Teaching & Training
Dr Boakye is a respected and engaging instructor. At the Centre of Excellence for Petroleum Studies, she designs and delivers advanced health & safety training tailored to the oil and gas industry. At TTU and CILT-Ghana, she teaches courses on Health and Safety, Procurement, and Supply Chain Management. Her approachable teaching style and clear expertise help students and working professionals alike.
