Process Trainer

Cephas Avoryie is an Assistant Lecturer and Process Trainer with extensive expertise in Oil and Gas process operations, mechanical systems, technical education, and industrial training. With a strong academic background and years of professional practice, he has consistently combined teaching, research, and hands-on technical training to develop both students and industry professionals. His career demonstrates a commitment to engineering excellence, practical knowledge transfer, and the development of skills needed in today’s mechanical and oil & gas industries.

He holds an MPhil in Mechanical Engineering (Design and Manufacturing option) from Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST), Ghana and a BTECH & HND in Mechanical Engineering (Plant option) from Takoradi Technical University. Professionally, he is certified with:

  • Train the Trainer Piping Course – Ngee Ann Polytechnic, Singapore
  • Advanced Diploma in Oil and Gas Operations (Process Technician) – JTTC
  • Oil Spillage Response Training – Bayfield
  • Training in metal and power hand tools – BOSCH
  • Training in Equipment for Engineering Education – GUNT Hamburg

At the JTTC, he has trained a wide range of industry professionals, technical trainees, and international participants in the process/production department. His training delivery focused on equipping participants with practical competencies required in oil & gas and allied industries. Key groups trained include:

  • Ghana Gas Company Ltd staff.
  • MODEC Ghana personnel.
  • AOGC (Accelerated Oil & Gas Capacity Building Programme) trainees.
  • Field-ready group from Mozambique.
  • Individual trainees – both Ghanaian and international participants.

Training covered areas under process engineering, such as: Process Operation (3-phase separator and water treatment plant), Process Safety Management, Permit to Work Systems, Oil Spill Response, Preparation of Equipment for Maintenance, Process and Instrumentation Diagrams, Water Treatment process and Disposals, Control Room Operations, Piping System and Process Equipment, Oil Production and Process Facilities.
